Sarah at Sarah Reads Too Much will be hosting the Back to the Classics challenge again this year. Check out her post for rules and to sign up. Here are the books I've chosen to read, along with links to reviews once (if) I've reviewed them.

  • Any 19th Century Classic : Hard Times by Charles Dickens

  • Any 20th Century Classic : The Good Soldier by Ford Madox Ford

  • Reread a classic of your choice : Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert

  • A Classic Play : Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller

  • Classic Mystery/Horror/Crime Fiction : The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson

  • Classic Romance : Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte

  • Read a Classic that has been translated from its original language to your languange : Lost Illusions by Honore de Balzac

  • Classic Award Winner - Olive Kitteridge by Elizabeth Strout

  • Read a Classic set in a Country that you (realistically speaking) will not visit during your lifetime : Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy

    1. I've read a couple of these (Bronte & Miller) and started a couple of these (Tolstoy and Flaubert.) Great picks! :)

    2. Great list! I think you'll enjoy Jekyll & Hyde and Death of a Salesman. I'm hoping to get to Madame Bovary one of these days. Happy New Year :)
